The Western Cape Government has officially opened the application window for its R7 million Tourism Growth Fund, aimed at providing financial relief and development support to small, medium, and micro enterprises (SMMEs) in the tourism and hospitality sector. Eligible business owners have from 16 September 2026 until 14 October 2026 to submit their applications for the grant funding.
Successful applicants can receive grants ranging from R50,000 to R250,000 per entity. The provincial government intends for these funds to assist local operators in navigating economic pressures while maintaining the high standards expected by international and domestic visitors across the province.

The fund is specifically designed to target the most vulnerable players in the market, who often face the greatest difficulty in securing traditional commercial financing.
