The South African Social Security Agency is calling on unemployed TVET College graduates to apply for its 2026 Work Integrated Learning Programme. Applications close on 30 July 2026. The initiative is based in Gauteng and targets those needing practical experience to complete their National Diplomas.
Programme Purpose And Duration
The Work Integrated Learning Programme is designed for TVET College learners who have finished their N6 qualification but still require workplace exposure. The programme offers placements lasting from six to eighteen months, providing a monthly stipend of R5 865.25.
SASSA aims to support those who have struggled to secure in-service training, giving them a chance to gain essential skills in a real-world environment. The agency has highlighted that this opportunity is particularly valuable for those seeking to bridge the gap between academic study and employment.

Several units within SASSA are offering placements, each with specific qualification requirements. Positions are available in areas such as the Regional Executive Manager’s Office, Facilities Management, Security Management, Human Capital Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance, and Fraud and Risk Management.
Applicants must hold relevant N6 qualifications, such as Public Management, Office Administration, Human Resource Management, Financial Accounting, or Fraud and Risk Management. The number of posts varies by unit, with some departments offering multiple positions.
Eligibility Criteria And Application Requirements
To be considered, candidates must be South African citizens, unemployed, and between the ages of 18 and 35. They must also be willing to work in Gauteng and meet the qualification requirements for the specific post.
Applicants are required to submit a fully completed New Z83 form and a detailed Curriculum Vitae. TVET learners must provide proof of their N6 National Certificate, a statement of results if applicable, and a letter from their institution confirming the need for workplace experience.
