Is Pitso Mosimane going to Kaizer Chiefs?

- Rating: 0.0/5

A wave of anticipation is sweeping through the ranks of Kaizer Chiefs supporters, as the prospect of parting ways with Arthur Zwane looms large. With the question of Pitso Mosimane taking over the reins increasingly becoming a topic of discussion, it seems the club may be on the brink of a significant managerial shake-up.

Zwane’s tenure has been marred by failures in the MTN8, Nedbank Cup, and lack of CAF Champions League qualification. His record of 11 losses in a single season has added to the mounting pressure for change.

Pitso Mosimane and Al-Ahli

In contrast, a promising opportunity may be emerging on the horizon. Pitso Mosimane, current head coach of Al-Ahli Saudi FC, and his agent have dropped hints about a potential departure from the Saudi Arabian football powerhouse.

Having recently accomplished the impressive feat of guiding Al-Ahli to the Saudi Pro League, the ex-Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly coach posted a cryptic message on social media. He wrote, “Mission accomplished, project delivered, Sleeping Giant awoken in 8 months. In a new country, new continent, different league! In Arabic, they say, Khalsa! Meaning, it is done and dusted! Thanks, Jeddah for entrusting me with this difficult task. Salute!”

Adding fuel to the speculation, Mosimane’s agent and wife, Moira Tlhagale, teased in an interview with 2000FM last Thursday, saying, “Let’s not spoil the surprise. Let’s leave it at that, we’re still cooking some stuff.”

Meanwhile, rumors abound that Al-Ahli may be considering not renewing the South African coach’s contract. A source informed iDiski Times’s Lorenz Kohler that the club has been in contact with the lawyer of Allegri, potentially suggesting a move to bring Allegri to Saudi Arabia. It appears Al Nassr also has an interest in him, adding another twist to the unfolding saga.
