Cape Coloured Congress Makes Significant Strides in Election 2024

The National Cape Coloured Congress (NCC), competing nationally and provincially for the first time, garnered 31,618 votes, accounting for 8.1% of the total.

Party leader Fadiel Adams attributed this success to diligent efforts.

“People call it campaigning. I call it hard work. We see other parties such as Rise Mzansi and BOSA, which put lots of money into their campaigns, but our growth is organic,” he boasted.

However, a planned media briefing by the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) in the Western Cape was abruptly cancelled tonight amidst accusations of “foul play” from the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) and the National Cape Coloured Congress (NCC).

With the vote tally in the province nearing completion at just over 90%, the IEC postponed the 8 pm briefing to Saturday.

Following the IEC’s announcement, members of the EFF and NCC expressed their outrage, alleging that the commission was manipulating the election results.
