Build One South Africa (BOSA) has officially terminated the membership of Ayanda Allie, who served as the party’s representative in the Gauteng Provincial Legislature. The decision was confirmed on 23 July 2026, following the conclusion of an internal disciplinary process that had been under consideration since July 2025.
Disciplinary Process And Finality
The party stated that it attempted multiple avenues for resolution before resorting to the final measure of expulsion. BOSA Board Chairperson Stevens Mokgalapa confirmed that the decision is now binding, noting that Allie was granted an opportunity to appeal but declined to do so.
“Over an extended period, BOSA undertook repeated efforts through engagement, consultation and mediation to resolve the matter amicably. Despite these efforts, it became evident that there was no viable basis upon which the matter could be resolved,” the party said in an official statement.
“In accordance with the Party’s Constitution, Ms Allie was afforded the opportunity to appeal the Board’s decision but has elected not to exercise that right. The Board’s decision is therefore final,” said Stevens Mokgalapa, BOSA Board Chairperson.
Background And Public Reaction
Allie, a well-known figure in the public eye who previously worked as a broadcaster and spokesperson for the Department of Transport, has remained brief in her public response to the termination. When approached for comment, she stated simply: “It is well.”
The departure marks a significant change in BOSA’s legislative representation within Gauteng. While the specific charges underlying the disciplinary action remain confidential, speculation regarding her political future has circulated in recent days, particularly following reports of her being pictured with ActionSA president Herman Mashaba.
The Gauteng Provincial Legislature is expected to confirm the administrative changes to the party’s allocated seat in the coming weeks.
