Thulani Dlamini and Simphiwe Zondi appeared in the Durban Magistrate’s Court this month following the seizure of 11 high-powered rifles and a large cache of ammunition. The arrest and subsequent court appearance follow an intelligence-led operation conducted by the Provincial Organised Crime Unit in Inanda, north of Durban.

The operation targeted an armoury containing weapons estimated to be worth approximately R1 million. Authorities recovered a variety of assault weapons, including AK-47s and R5 rifles, during the raid.
