Downloading the App

First things first, you’ll need to download the Standard Bank Mobile Banking App, which you can get for no charge from the Google Play store or the Apple App store.

What you’ll need:

  • A smartphone that works with either Android or iOS software*
  • A connection to the internet for downloading and using the app

Where to look:

  • Either on Google Play store or Apple App store
  • Search under the Finance category for Standard Bank or Stanbic
  • Look for the app named Standard Bank Mobile Banking

*Please note, the Mobile Banking App isn’t compatible with rooted or jailbroken phones.

Managing Your Digital Profile

Your Digital ID

When you join, we’ll set you up with a Standard Bank ID. This is a unique digital identifier that links your online banking profile and accounts together. It’s specific to the Mobile Banking App and lets you access all your accounts with just one sign-in.

Updating Your Info

Need to change your details? It’s simple:

  • Log into the Mobile Banking App
  • Hit the menu button on the top left
  • Go to ‘Settings’
  • Here, you can adjust your Standard Bank/Stanbic ID, password, and preferred name as needed

  • From the login page, select ‘Contacts’ at the bottom right
