Two police officers and a police informer have been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment each by the Palm Ridge Specialised Commercial Crimes Court after being convicted for the kidnapping and robbery of foreign nationals. SAPS Constables Nhlahla Lamola and Siyabulela Ntsabo, along with informant Lulama Makhatini, were found guilty of intercepting their victims under the guise of an official police operation to steal R1.2 million in cash in 2023.
