Oasis Reunion on the Cards as Liam and Noel Gallagher Allegedly Reconcile

After a 15-year estrangement, rumours are swirling that Oasis brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher could be preparing to reunite, with whispers of a Glastonbury appearance and a full UK tour next year. The once-iconic duo had vowed never to perform together again, but new reports suggest that the longstanding feud may be coming to an end.

The notorious fallout between the Gallagher brothers dates back to 2009, with both siblings consistently dismissing any possibility of an Oasis reunion in the years that followed. Yet, a recent tip from a music industry insider indicates that an official announcement of a comeback tour could be imminent. Their debut album may have been titled Definitely Maybe, but a reunion now appears to be Definitely Definitely on the horizon. This has even prompted Coral betting agency to halt bets on whether Oasis will reunite.

“If the rumours are true, the Gallagher brothers have put their differences aside and are set for a reunion in 2025,” Coral representative John Hill shared. “We have pulled the plug on our betting on Oasis getting back together next year,”

Hill continued, reflecting the growing confidence in the reunion.

Echoing this optimism, a source cited in The Sun expressed surprise and excitement about the potential reconciliation:

“This is the reunion that no one thought would ever happen. Liam and Noel have been staunch enemies for well over a decade, but they have secretly been back in touch.”

According to this source, a formal deal has already been agreed upon, and both brothers have given their consent to it, much to the astonishment of those around them. With UK concerts expected in the summer of 2025, both Noel and Liam reportedly share enthusiasm about returning to the stage together.

Heaton Park in Manchester, the brothers’ hometown, is one of the possible venues being mentioned, along with London’s Wembley Arena, a location that recently saw multiple performances by Taylor Swift. Additionally, there is speculation that Oasis could make a long-awaited appearance at the Glastonbury Festival.

Liam Gallagher further fueled speculation on social media when he responded to fan chatter about possible concert locations. One follower criticized Heaton Park, calling it a “terrible” venue for concerts. In typical Liam fashion, he cheekily replied:

“See you down the front you big f***y.”

Interestingly, Noel Gallagher offered a rare moment of praise for his brother’s vocal abilities in a recent interview, acknowledging that Liam is a better singer than him. This unexpected compliment comes just as Liam gears up to headline Reading Festival, where he is set to perform Definitely Maybe in its entirety, marking the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ debut album. However, the excitement surrounding this solo performance has been overshadowed by the increasing anticipation of a full-scale Oasis reunion.

The infamous split between the two brothers occurred just before they were scheduled to perform at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris. The show was abruptly cancelled, with Noel later issuing a statement that read:

“I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.”

Despite years of public insults and barbed comments between the two, the time may finally be right for them to put their differences aside and come together on stage once more. For their loyal fanbase, this potential reunion could be the fulfilment of a long-held dream.
