Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has finalised a purchase-leaseback agreement with Saudia for four new Boeing 777F cargo aircraft, set for delivery between October 2026 and May 2027. The deal, announced by DAE on 10 August 2026, strengthens the airline’s logistical capacity as it works toward the objectives set out in Saudi Vision 2030.
Strategic Cargo Expansion
The transaction allows the airline to double its dedicated freighter fleet, significantly enhancing its ability to serve international markets. This agreement follows an initial order placed by Saudia Group directly with Boeing on 6 July 2026.
We are pleased to announce a purchase-leaseback agreement for four Boeing 777F aircraft with Saudia. This transaction reflects our continued commitment to supporting our airline customers with high-quality, in-demand aircraft, said Firoz Tarapore, CEO of DAE.
These aircraft are intended to bolster the Kingdom’s position as a primary global logistics hub. DAE, which manages a portfolio of over 1,000 aircraft, provides the capital and management expertise required for the airline’s fleet expansion.
These aircraft will support the airline’s expanding cargo operations and enhance its ability to serve key markets across its global network. We look forward to working with Saudia and wish them continued success, added Tarapore.
The deal reflects a broader shift in the regional aviation sector, where airlines are increasingly utilising leaseback structures to manage capital investment while rapidly scaling fleet operations. We will monitor the delivery schedule as the first aircraft are expected in October 2026.
