The South African Police Service (SAPS) has launched a multidisciplinary investigation into the killing of Andile Mvuyiselwa Somgaxa, the Gauteng provincial leader of the “March and March” anti-migrant movement. Somgaxa was shot at his home in Greenfield, Ekurhuleni, on 4 July 2026 and later succumbed to his injuries in hospital on 9 July 2026.

The organisation, established in 2024, advocates for the removal of undocumented foreign nationals under the slogan “Mabahambe” (they must go).
